Rev. March Yancy

Rev. Marvin Yancy was a preacher, teacher
and a leading force in what is now called contemporary gospel, or should
we say, he was on the cutting edge. Rev. Yancy had the most recognized
voice in gospel music, with such hits as "Heavy Load", Sign Me Up",
"Well Done" and "Step By Step."
He left a legacy with his music when he died in March of 1985.
"Heavy Load" was nominated for a Grammy in 1985.
